Their Partnerships team leads their movement to transform the lives of millions of children through education. They lead pioneering efforts to revitalize Government-led delivery of education across the world. They engage with visionary political and Government leadership to help shape policy, strengthen delivery and impact complex education systems through their partnerships which are currently in Kenya, Rwanda, Liberia, India and Nigeria.
The Director Partnerships Africa will work closely with the Vice President Policy and Partnerships Africa as well as the rest of the team to identify, engage and close new statewide and nationwide partnerships across Africa. These multi-year, contracted partnerships for complete system transformation become the signature reform of their government partners to deliver on their state’s critical education, development, and economic objectives. You should be prepared to work with the highest levels of government, from generating leads all the way through successful contract negotiations. Throughout this complex partnership development, you will be an execution focused, result oriented contributor who will work collaboratively with other team members across the continent, and will be ultimately responsible for expanding this life-changing work to millions of additional students across Anglophone Africa with a focus on countries in West and Southern Africa outside of Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.
You will have deep experience across multiple countries in Africa in business development / sales for large-scale government contracts / partnerships. You will have experience in large, consultative sales for complex services or products, and be politically-savvy and have an ability to understand how partnerships intersect with existing political situations and dynamics.
You are most likely to be based in West Africa, East Africa or Southern Africa, and will be willing to travel as required to countries to enable new partnerships to be developed.
